Politics in the Pub: Meet Victorian Socialists in Hawthorn Kew & Ashwood!

Meet Victorian Socialists organising in Hawthorn, Kew, and Ashwood! Location TBC

What to expect

Join us for an evening of political discussion, drinks, and grassroots organising! This is a chance to meet members of the Victorian Socialists, hear what we stand for, and find out how you can be part of building a left-wing alternative to the mainstream parties dominating Australian politics.

With the State Election coming up in November 2026, we're launching local groups in every electorate to campaign for real change. Across Victoria, people are fed up with Labor’s broken promises and let down by the Greens’ compromises. Inequality is growing, the cost-of-living crisis is biting hard, and the most marginalised—refugees, First Nations people, LGBTIQA+ communities—are under attack while billionaires keep raking it in.

We think there’s a better way. One based on equality, solidarity, and real democracy. That’s why we’re building a political movement rooted in our communities, organising from the ground up, and planning to contest every Lower House seat in 2026.

Come along to hear about our vision, share your ideas, and find out how you can get involved—whether you're a seasoned activist or just starting to look for an alternative.
