Australia is a wealthy society in which everyone deserves to live a decent life.

Hi, I’m Andrew. I’m running in this state election with Victorian Socialists because I believe a better society is possible - one that’s more sustainable, equitable, and just than the brutal, unequal, capitalist system of today.

I’m a community organiser and activist, and a Mernda local. I work in the public sector, and am a member of the Community and Public Sector Union. I’ve been involved in campaigns against racism, war, Australia’s appalling treatment of asylum seekers, and for action on climate change.

Recently I’ve been active in campaigns to rebuild the CPSU as a fighting union, and in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

Australia is a wealthy society in which everyone deserves to live a decent life. Right now, most of us are suffering through a cost of living crisis, basic services are being degraded, our environment is suffering - all while the rich are getting richer.

The people of Victoria deserve better and I’m running to help build a movement that can turn this situation around. Let’s tackle urgent issues like growing inequality, the housing crisis, and climate change, and resist the rise of far-right politics that seek to blame migration and multiculturalism instead of the billionaires and big corporations that are actually responsible for the problems in our society.

Whether I’m elected or not, I will continue to fight for a fairer society - one that puts people before profit.
