Hi, I’m Andrew.

I’m running in the 2026 state election as the Victorian Socialists candidate for Frankston.

I’m 44 and I’ve lived most of my life near Frankston. I love this area, but it’s continually harder to afford life here.

A third of us rent, working our butts off to make landlords rich.

Another third have mortgages, working even harder to make bank shareholders wealthy.

Greedy multi-millionaire property investors throw their wealth around at auctions, crushing the aspirations of families wanting to buy a house to live in here.

Both major parties subsidise these investors while selling off public housing.

Other parties try to deflect our anger towards our migrant sisters and brothers. They want to sell you fake solutions to let their millionaire mates off the hook. The same Aussie rich holding migrants down are holding me down too, and we can resist them better together.

I stand for rebuilding public services sold off under Kennett’s Liberals and recent Labor governments, reversing privatisation and funding this by taxing the rich.

I stand for taxing landlords until they scream, then taxing them some more.

In my teens and 20s I campaigned against corporate greed, the war in Iraq and Howard’s anti-union laws. In my 30s, I campaigned against Abbott’s horror budget, for marriage equality and against the violent neo-Nazis that tried to build in Melbourne. My 40s have been dominated by campaigning against the genocide in Gaza.

If elected, I pledge to take whichever is less – the median wage in Frankston, or the median wage in Victoria – and donate the rest of my parliamentary salary to community campaigns. I won’t rise out of this community, I’ll rise with it, or not at all.

Don’t just vote in November (but do that). Reach out and get involved.
