I’ll fight for this historic area - walking in the footsteps of the generations of workers who have fought in decades gone by, to put people before profit and win a better, fairer society for all.
Hi, I’m Andy. I’m running in this year’s state election as a candidate with Victorian Socialists because I believe people deserve secure housing and a living wage, and I want to bring power back to working-class people.
I’m a Buninyong local and have lived in the area my whole life. I've watched shops on the main street shut down due to rent price increases from greedy landlords.
Working-class people and our communities deserve better. People shouldn't need to struggle renting a house off some greedy landlord profiting of their speculative investments.
Australia is a wealthy country, and that wealth is created by workers. Yet as time goes by we’re getting less and less in return for our labour, and inequality is growing. You shouldn’t have to work 2-3 jobs just to rent a house. Every job should have a liveable wage. We can do better.
I've already been doing this work in Ballarat, organising with Free Palestine Ballarat and the Say No to Racism rally. If elected in November, I’ll fight for this historic area - walking in the footsteps of the generations of workers who have fought in decades gone by, to put people before profit and win a better, fairer society for all.
