Candidate for Mulgrave

I stand for a socialist society, one where the whims of the bosses and landlords no longer control our lives.

Hi I'm Connor, a 27-year-old renter living in Mulgrave. I'm a maintenance fitter and a proud member of the AMWU, and I will be running as candidate for Mulgrave with Victorian Socialists in the 2026 state election.

Growing up in Melbourne's south-east suburbs, I've seen the discontent growing within these safe Labor seats. For too long, the major parties have ignored the needs of working-class people and I believe that there is now the appetite for change, for socialism.

As candidate for Mulgrave I will be fighting for a fairer world. In recent times, the bulk of wealth increases in our society have gone to the super-rich. I want to help turn that around, and build a society free from racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and all bigotry.

I stand for a socialist society, one where the whims of the bosses and landlords no longer control our lives. Where everyone has a full belly and a roof over their head. Where you don't have to decide between going to the GP or paying this month's rent. Where politicians are not in the pockets of billionaires all while the rest of us suffer.

I've been a trade unionist and socialist for years, organising in workplaces and standing on the picket line. In recent years, I've been involved in many campaigns and rallies against the genocide in Gaza, imperialism, the rise of the far-right, attacks on trans rights and discrimation against First Nations people.

I am passionate about building a better society that workers deserve and I won't stop until we are all free and equal.

I hope that you will join me in this fight.
