I believe in building an equitable society that is run by and serves the diverse needs of working-class people.

Hi, I’m Denali. I’m proud to be running in the state election as a candidate with Victorian Socialists in Bendigo East because I believe in building an equitable society that is run by and serves the diverse needs of working-class people.

I believe radical change is needed to combat housing insecurity, climate change, worker exploitation and Australia’s involvement in imperialism, colonialism and genocide both internationally and domestically. Radical policy is also needed to secure and expand cost of living measures, civil rights, Aboriginal rights, public education and infrastructure.

I stand to fight against the big corporations, landlords and racist, anti-worker, conservative party interests attempting to sabotage and dismantle our institutions and rob the people of a fairer, more equitable world for themselves and future generations.

Bendigo is a rural hub for Victoria both economically and culturally. Bendigo East has a large, struggling, working-class population that deserves real representation and policies that will address their struggle for housing, public infrastructure, and affordable food and energy - not to mention the even greater difficulties facing disabled people, the LGBTQ+ community, Indigenous people and other minorities.

I have been living and working in Bendigo for the past eight years and have in recent years been active as a community organiser and activist. I have helped organise Palestine solidarity protests, and anti-racism forums and have campaigned alongside other members of Victorian Socialists Bendigo for more public housing and other things that would benefit our community.

If elected I will fight tooth and nail to provide the equitable, affordable and sustainable future the people of Bendigo East deserve.
