Hi, I'm Jack. I'm running in the 2026 state election as the Victorian Socialists candidate for Dandenong.
I was born and raised in Dandenong, and I've seen the area develop and change drastically over the years. This is a place and community I care about, and seeing the cost of living crisis worsen here has been a major factor that encouraged me into politics.
Politicians across Australia have failed working-class people, and that is abundantly clear here in Dandenong. These out of touch politicians are in the pocket of the rich and spend their days making them richer and us poorer.
Everyone in Australia should have the chance to live a decent life. We are such a wealthy society but in recent decades most of it has been flowing to the richest few. The people at the top are seeing their wealth grow rapidly, while many at the bottom are being left behind.
Politicians should be public servants, not a privileged elite that's completely out of touch with the communities they're supposed to represent. That's why I believe strongly in the Victorian Socialists' policy of putting politicians on an average worker's wage. I commit, if elected, to only take a nurse's salary and to donate the rest to support our community.
I’m running in this election because I want to help turn the crisis of growing inequality around, and tackle urgent issues like the housing shortage. As a renter the creation of public housing and the proper regulation of rentals is always an important issue to me.
I am a community organiser and socialist activist advocating in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs and I’ve been involved in campaigns against racism and in support of migrants and First Nations communities.
In recent times I’ve campaigned in solidarity with the people of Palestine and against Israel’s genocide in Gaza. I have also been a strong advocate against the over policing that is rampant in our area whilst being a voice for free and universal healthcare, child care, schooling and support programs - policies I know will actually make our communities safer.
If I'm elected to the state parliament in November, I'll fight for you.
