Hi, I’m Keeley. Politics is rigged for the rich. I’m running in the state election because we need a party that will take on the corporations and fight to put wealth in the hands of working-class people.

I’ve lived all my life in Melbourne’s south east, mostly in Berwick and now renting in Dandenong. I’ve seen how greedy developers make huge profits as they throw up homes without adequate services. I’ll fight to establish a State Bank of Victoria that will offer to take over existing owner-occupier mortgages owing on residential properties at below market rates.

It seems like every time I walk into a supermarket the prices go up. Coles and Woolies are making record profits while wages are in decline. It doesn’t have to be like this. I’ll fight for a “$100 trolley” so that households can buy everything they need, with cut prices funded directly from supermarket profits.

In my own life, I’ve seen totally insufficient support for children and the elderly. I’ll fight to reverse privatisation, putting aged care, child care and disability support back in public hands.

I’m a community activist. I’ve been involved in campaigns standing up to the vile politics of the far right, and I continue to fight for an end to the genocide in Palestine.

With the rise of One Nation, racist and anti-worker politics is becoming more normalised. Labor and the Liberals got us into this mess and they won’t get us out. Real change comes from working-class people getting together and fighting for it.
