Candidate for Greenvale

In a wealthy society like Australia, everyone should have the chance to live a decent life.

Hi, I'm Kirill. I’m running in this year’s state election as a candidate for Greenvale with Victorian Socialists because I believe in a society that puts people before profit.

We deserve to live in a community where public services are properly funded and hospitals, schools and other basic amenities are within reach. One where the concerns of local residents about the state of our parks and the local environment aren't a tenth-rate concern for political representatives who serve the interests of property developers and big corporations.

I’m a local IT worker and union member with experience organising workers to fight for better wages and conditions.

Politicians at all levels of government are in the pockets of the rich, and have grown increasingly out of touch with the people they’re supposed to represent. In a wealthy society like Australia, everyone should have the chance to live a decent life. Today, the people at the top are seeing their wealth grow rapidly, while many at the bottom are being left behind.

I’m running in this election because I want to help turn this situation around, and ensure everyone, no matter their background or circumstances, has a chance to live a decent life.

Being a union organiser and a community activist for many years, I’ve been involved in campaigns against racism and for action on climate change. In recent times, I’ve campaigned in solidarity with the people of Palestine and against Israel’s war in Gaza.

If elected in November, I’ll fight for the working people in our community and for a better, more equal and sustainable society for all.
