Lucas Deviesseux
Candidate for North Eastern Metropolitan
I’ll fight for a brighter peaceful future, free from discrimination, where together we can overcome the challenges of our time.
Hi I’m Lucas Deviesseux (previously Lucas Moore). I’m a community activist from Heidelberg. Recently I led the campaign to save the Olympic Village swimming pool in West Heidelberg from closure.
The pool closure is a great example of the inequality that exists across our state. While things are getting harder for many, rather than being given a boost, all too often the public services and facilities we rely on for a healthy, rewarding life are being privatised or closed down. And all too often, it’s those that need help the most who are not getting it.
Across Victoria we’re grappling with a cost of living crisis. But simply living shouldn’t have a cost. That’s what socialists stand for.
Those doing essential work should be paid essential wages. But like many renters across our city I find it hard to get ahead, even on a full-time professional wage. Rents keep going up, houses are impossible to afford and grocery prices are ridiculous.
If elected I will support all those who are doing it tough by helping them fight for better wages and support. I’ll fight for a brighter peaceful future, free from discrimination, where together we can overcome the challenges of our time.
We live in a rich state, one where everyone deserves more.
Vote Victorian Socialists to put people before profit!
