Polwarth should be a place where everyone - no matter your background or bank balance - can enjoy a happy, healthy life in a beautiful environment preserved for generations to come.

Hi, I'm Lula. I’m proud to be running as the Victorian Socialists candidate for Polwarth. I’m a student - studying while working two jobs as an office and retail worker. When I’m not working or studying I’m helping organise people to fight for a better, more equal and just society.

I’m running because I’m sick of seeing working-class people struggle to afford the basics - like housing, groceries and energy bills - while billionaires, banks and big corporations make record profits.

Polwarth has been run in the interests of the wealthiest few for too long. Labor and the Liberals preside over an economy and society that has become more unequal year by year. Hospitals, schools, and the environment have consistently been neglected in favour of big business.

Growing up, I saw our beautiful landscape threatened by rising sea levels, increasing temperatures, and changing weather patterns. I have rallied for climate action since high school and have been a community activist ever since - still fighting for urgent climate action, as well as participating in the Palestine solidarity movement and campaigns against racism and the rise of the far right.

As a renter, studying while working two jobs, I know what it's like to struggle to afford bills and groceries. I’ll fight for working-class people not the supermarket giants, banks and other corporate interests that currently get everything their way.

Polwarth should be a place where everyone - no matter your background or bank balance - can enjoy a happy, healthy life in a beautiful environment preserved for generations to come. In parliament that’s what I’d fight for every day.
