I’ll fight for the services our community relies on - our libraries, Neighbourhood Houses, childcare, parks, sports facilities and aged care.
Hi, I’m Sarah, and I’m running in the Thomastown by-election because our community deserves better.
People in Thomastown are facing rising costs, stagnant wages and underfunded services while inequality keeps growing. I’ll fight for the services our community relies on - our libraries, Neighbourhood Houses, childcare, parks, sports facilities and aged care.
I’m a board member at my son’s childcare centre, the only council-leased non-profit centre in Whittlesea, because community-run services matter. I’m also a volunteer at our local library, where I run a kids reading program with my dog, Nala. Our kids deserve safe places to learn and play, and greener spaces with more trees.
I want real action on the housing crisis so everyone has a secure, affordable home. I’ll also campaign for better public transport, especially more frequent buses, and more funding for our local schools. We also desperately need to expand and upgrade the Northern Hospital, especially to reduce wait times.
For 15 years I’ve campaigned for equality and justice, from workers striking for their rights to standing up to racism, for refugees and migrants and against war. I am a proud member of Victorian Socialists because I am sick of politicians who represent billionaires and bosses. I will fight for all of you.
I'll fight to
Real action to reduce housing costs
Funding for roads, parks and sports facilities
Reversing privatisation, more services for the elderly, youth, and migrant families
A ban on pokies
More train services, slashing Myki prices
Fixing the Northern Hospital, expanding bulk billing
A council that stands against racism and war
