The things we all need to live - like access to education, from early childhood to TAFE or uni, connectivity through public services, transport and infrastructure, or even just a liveable planet - shouldn’t be a pipe dream for so many.

Hi, I’m Taylor and I am running in this years state election with Victorian Socialists because I believe working-class people deserve to be represented by a party that will actually listen to and fight for the issues that affect them every day.

I've been a local in the west for five years, and working as a hairdresser I've had the opportunity to connect and understand the struggles of the people of my community. From this I've come to understand how in one way or another, working people across Victoria and particularly in Melbourne's west feel they've been left behind by society at large.

It’s something we can see all around us. That no matter if you follow the rules and goals we're taught make for a good life - work full time, buy a house, raise a family - many of us will still be churned up and broken by an economic system geared towards enriching the wealthiest few at the cost of everyone else.

The things we all need to live - like access to education, from early childhood to TAFE or uni, connectivity through public services, transport and infrastructure, or even just a liveable planet - shouldn’t be a pipe dream for so many.

Standing for what I believe in has been part of my life and goals for many years. Whether that be taking action on climate change, standing up against racism, advocating for the queer community, or most recently standing up for peace and justice for Palestine and standing against the rise of the far right - I won't give up fighting for a better, fairer world.

If elected to parliament in November, I'll fight for our community and for an economy and society that puts people before profit. I hope you will join my campaign!
