One of the easiest ways people can support the campaign is by displaying a Victorian Socialists yard sign. Join us as we call local supporters and previous yard sign hosts to help fill Northcote with signs for Kath Larkin and Omar Hassan. Not keen on phone calls? You can help put up posters instead, or simply drop by to pick up campaign materials and say hello.
Meet at Northcote Library from 5.00 pm. Join us any time between 5:00-7:00pm. We’ll kick off with a short briefing and basic training before splitting into teams.
Our goal is simple: help as many supporters as possible put a Victorian Socialists yard sign outside their home.
Yard signs are one of the most effective ways we can show that socialism has real support across Northcote. Every sign starts conversations with neighbours, builds momentum for the campaign and gives supporters a visible way to stand with us.
The best part? These aren't cold calls. We'll be speaking with people who have already supported Victorian Socialists, signed up to hear from us or displayed a yard sign before. Most conversations are friendly, straightforward and genuinely enjoyable.
Never made campaign calls before? No worries. We'll show you exactly what to do, answer any questions and pair you up with experienced volunteers if you'd like.
If phone calls aren't your thing, there'll also be a team heading out to put up posters for upcoming local Victorian Socialists events. And if you'd just like to swing by to collect posters, campaign materials or say hello, we'd love to see you too.
