Maribyrnong and Maidstone Door Knock 30/09

We will be meeting at 4:30 pm at Scovell Reserve in Maidstone. We will head out in doorknocking teams to let people know about our local candidate, Jasmine Duff.

Jasmine is a community organiser, a lighting technician, and a proud trade unionist. She’s fought to save Victorian public housing from privatisation, and when more than 80 Altona residents were threatened with eviction by Hobsons Bay Council, she helped them defend their right to stay. She’s campaigned for equal marriage, climate action, Indigenous justice, and peace and justice for the people of Palestine. She knows that by collectively taking a stand, we can make a real difference.

Please bring a car, if possible, and if you’re new to doorknocking, don’t worry! You will be paired up with an experienced volunteer who can show you the ropes, and you will be provided with some useful talking points.

What to bring:

• Comfortable shoes

• A car, if possible

• Water, sunscreen/weather-appropriate gear

• Your energy and enthusiasm! And rage at the system of capitalism!
