Meet The Candidates - Werribee & Tarneit

Victorian Socialists in Werribee and Tarneit want to fight to put people before profit. We are sick of career politicians getting in and ignoring our communities, instead making deals with billionaire corporations to pollute our suburbs.

Sue is a nurse, mum of two, and activist of more than 20 years. Sue knows the hardships many people in Werribee face from paying rent, to sub-standard public transport, to overcrowd roads, to limited healthcare options, to an understaffed hospital that will not provide reproductive freedom to women. Sue has been fighting for working class people for two decades and wants to take that fight to parliament.

Leah is a proud teacher and unionist, who was involved in the historic campaign and strikes by teachers in Victoria this year. Teaching in the western suburbs for nine years, Leah has seen first hand the impact decades of neglect by Labor has had on working class kids and their families. She wants to fight to make them a priority for the people in power, while also taking a stand against the racist and divisive politics spreading across the country.
